Carte de visite of Second Lieutenant. Albert Decker, Sixtieth U.S. Colored Infantry, Co. K. Albert Decker, possibly a resident of Sheffield, Massachusetts, enlisted as Commissary Sergeant in the U.S. Colored Infantry at age 21 on December 9, 1863. The photograph is part of a group of images collected by Colonel John G. Hudson, First Iowa Infantry, African Descent, of federal soldiers and officers stationed at Helena, Phillips County, Arkansas, 1863-1864.
